The Stream Is for Kids returns for a 3rd edition !

Of the 24 and may 27, 2023, 40 ' streamers ' (the creators of live content) of the city of lille will be gathered to Faches-Thumesnil for a charity event online : Stream It for Kids. Their goal : collect donations in support of the emergency number 116 000 who accompanies and supports the families of missing children from all over France.

In France, more than 40,000 reports of disappearances of minors are performed each year to the forces of the police and the gendarmerie. Against this backdrop, young northerners wished to mobilize around the International Day of Missing Children , commemorated each year on 25 may. During the three days, they will be reunited in Faches-Thumesnil to collect donations when the new edition of the Stream, One for Kids, a charity event online.

Supported by the municipality, this appointment has been held for 2021 by Cédric Finney (aka Vaykhin), a young dad involved in the local association network. More than 40 participants will be gathered in a room provided by the city and will offer a 72-hour live broadcast on Twitch, a platform that allows you to stream content online in interacting with the public. In the program : the game-video, music, quizzes and many challenges to encourage spectators to donate to the other side of the screen. A format more and more popular in France since the creation of the Z Event in 2016. This event that will bring together the stars of the platform has helped collect more than 10 million euros in support of environmental groups during his edition 2022.

With ambitions to be more modest, the participants of the Stream Is for Kids hope, however, well meet the highest possible in favour of the cause they support : the 116 000 Missing Children. This issue of emergency support for families of victims of disappearance of a child with his team of lawyers, psychologists and special educators, and disseminates research on its website. Created in 2003, the european system is coordinated in France by the Law of Childhood foundation for child protection recognized as a public utility. Particularly grateful to the young benefactors, the structure has announced that the donations gathered this year will fund a new spot of awareness in order to know the emergency number to the greatest number.

In the previous edition, nearly 8 238 € had been raised to fund the workshops on the prevention of the risks related to the fugue in colleges and high schools. A record that the organisers are hoping to beat this year, with two times more participants and an ambitious program.

The Stream Is for Kids will begin on Wednesday, may 24, in the evening with a show of stand-up live in which will participate in the youth clubs of the metropolis of lille. The streamer will then take over for a marathon online 3 days which will end on may 27 at midnight with, at the end of the suspense, hope to see a 4-figure sum on the prize donations.
